Our MiniRoos coaches are specifically qualified in small sided football (MiniRoos), with their focus and passion being the development of boys and girls at this age. Training styles of this this age group requires great patiences and understanding to ensure full benefits are developed while maintaining fun and enjoyment.

Respect the Game
On most weekends, tens of thousands of girls, boys, women and men can be found playing and officiating football matches across Victoria, watched and supported by thousands more parents, family members, club officials and volunteers.
Over time, a minority of these people have unfortunately decided that it is ok to:
- Abuse referees, both official and volunteers
- Scream and yell at players, coaches and officials
- Criticise performance rather than celebrate effort Ignore, manipulate and question rules and decisions.
The impact this behaviour has on our game cannot be understated. People stop playing the game, referees stop officiating, tensions between clubs rise. In order to make a genuine difference to the behaviour of everyone involved in our game, a cultural shift needs to occur. This needs to occur at all levels. We need to Respect The Game.

Level 3 Good Sport Accredited Club
Wodonga Diamonds has a Level 3 Good Sports accreditation, achieved by continuing to ensure that alcohol is sold/served away from children, having an alcohol policy in place and members trained in responsible service of alcohol (RSA).
The Good Sports program is an initiative of the Australian Drug Foundation (ADF) to develop safer and healthier communities. The program helps sporting clubs manage alcohol responsibly and reduce alcohol related problems such as binge and underage drinking.
Displaying the Good Sports logo sends an important message to club members and the community. It confirms that the club promotes a responsible attitude towards alcohol and that it provides a safe environment for players, members, families and supporters.
Visit the Good Sports website for more information about the program.
